BIO205 Genetics (4 credits) Fall Semester. Dr. Todd Eckdahl. Study of classical, molecular, and evolutionary heredity in eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms. Prerequisite: BIO105 with a grade of C or above, CHE111.

Objectives: To provide a firm background in basic genetic principles in the context of recent molecular approaches.  The student of genetics will learn problem solving techniques and a variety of laboratory skills.  Formal and informal writing exercises will be used to develop methods of written communication used in genetics.
