PRACTICE TIPS is an occasional email newsletter with practical piano
practice tips and ideas, by Brent Hugh.
This is the very first issue of PRACTICE TIPS, but it doesn't actually have
any practice tips in it--just a few announcements and general information
about PRACTICE TIPS. Look for the first "real" issue of PRACTICE TIPS to
appear in your emailbox soon.
If you are receiving this message, you most likely subscribed to PRACTICE
TIPS on the Practice Tips web Page
<http://www.mwsc.edu/~bhugh/practice-tips.html> sometime over the past
several months.
Because of a variety of technical problems, the first issue of PRACTICE
TIPS did not come out until now (September 1999). From now on, you should
expect to receive an issue of PRACTICE TIPS every week or two.
If you decide you don't want to receive PRACTICE TIPS, you can unsubscribe
by sending an email

Thanks for your patience! I think PRACTICE TIPS will be very useful and a
lot of fun, too.
I am always looking for ideas for PRACTICE TIPS, so if you have any good
practice suggestions, please send them along to me. I am very open to the
idea of "Guest articles" or replies to previous articles, as well as very
brief practice tips or suggestions (I might collect a few brief suggestions
from different people into one article). The main idea of PRACTICE TIPS
isn't to be pedantic about The One and Only True and Correct Way to
Practice Piano, but to give a variety of ideas and viewpoints to stimulate
pianists in their practicing, so I am very open to a variety of ideas about
practicing from a variety of sources.
Just FYI, the PRACTICE TIPS subscribership is somewhere just over 300 right
now.
Happy Practicing!
